 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo has won big at the just-concluded BON Awards


We reported on Sunday that Nollywood stars, filmmakers, and practitioners gathered at the Sugar Factory Film Studios in Ilorin Kwara State for the Best of Nollywood awards.


Femi Adebayo, who was in attendance, had won big at the event as he went home with 4 awards for his 2023 movie, Jagun Jagun. 


He won the Best Actor award, Best Use of Costume, Best Art Design, and Best Use of Effect.


His brothers, Adebayo Tijani and Tope Adebayo Salami also won Best Director for their Directorial debut in Jagun Jagun.


In his speech, Femi stated that this is his first time in Kwara, and he hopes and believes that he will return to the stage for more awards. The actor dedicated his win to the people of Kwara State.
