 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. KESHINRO RECEIVES FIRST NEWLY BUILT DIVISIONAL OFFICE FOR LAGOS NSCDC BY IWORO KINGDOM IN OLORUNDA LCDA.

The Iworo community today, Friday, 15th November, 2024, witnessed, another milestone in the improvement of security of lives and property of its people.


The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro today, Friday,  received, the very first ( 1st ) newly, built Divisional office for the  Corps in Lagos State, situated, in the Iworo community, Olorunda Local Council Development Area.


The Lagos State Commandant made the above assertion, when he was delivering his keynote address at the commissioning ceremony, of the new Divisional office, to be put to use immediately, after the symbolic presentation of the office keys by His Royal Majesty ( HRM ) Oba ( Dr ) Oladele Friday Kosoko, JP, FMHR, Ogundeyi II, Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom to the Lagos State Commandant.


His Royal Majesty Oba ( Dr ) Oladele Friday Kosoko, JP, FMHR, Ogundeyi II, Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom in his address, described, security as the business of everyone, including; community people, corporate bodies , religious institutions and the youths but not limited, to security agencies alone. The Oba recalled that this feat has been achieved, for other security agencies in his community and building a new divisional office for the NSCDC will not only boost the security of lives and property but will restore people's confidence, improve their local economy; trade and business and political and social activities.


The Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom was also joined, by his neighbouring king, His Royal Majesty Oba ( Dr ) Abraham Olatunji Ogabi, JP, Oyikilu 1, Ajagun of Imeke Kingdom, at the commissioning of the new office today. The Ajagun of Imeke Kingdom also commended, the good spirit behind community 

led initiatives especially, to beef up local security.


The Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom led the commissioning of the new Divisional office, with the Ajagun of Imeke Kingdom, the Lagos State Commandant, Deputy Commandant of Corps Jide Thompson, Chiefs of Iworo Kingdom, Divisional Officers of Badagry, Oto Awori and Olorunda Divisions, Commanders of Marine and Land Borders, representatives of Nigeria Police Force ( NPF ), Nigeria Customs Service ( NCS ) and Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC ) and other very distinguished guests present at the event.


The Lagos State Commandant also immediately, handed over the office keys to the Divisional officer, Olorunda Division, Superintendent of Corps Olumoh Abdulganiyu, to symbolically, signal the commencement of operational and administrative activities in the new office. He charged, the officers to reciprocate this unprecedented gesture, bringing down the rate of insecurity within the communities in Olorunda LCDA. He also reminded that to whom much is given much is expected and he promised, to ensure that the command will give them the needed support and back up to ensure that everyone can sleep with their two eyes closed.
