 Prince William and Kate Middleton bring George, Charlotte and Louis to Commonwealth Games for first Scotland public outing Prince William and Kate Middleton brought their three children to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, marking the siblings’ first official public appearance in Scotland. The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 44, attended the sporting event on Saturday, Aug. 1, during their summer break with Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8. While in Scotland, where William and Kate are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, the family spent time with Team Wales athletes and their families. The couple also visited SportsAid, an organisation that supports young athletes. Kate has served as patron of the organisation since 2013.  LG COMMISSIONER MOURNS EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF ONIGBONGBO LCDA


The Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mr. Bolaji Kayode Robert (Bibiire) has expressed shock and sadness over the demise of the Executive Chairman, Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Hon. Dotun Olakanle passed on after a brief illness in the early hours of Saturday, 2nd November 2024.


The Honourable Commissioner, while commiserating with the family and loved ones, said that the Chairman was a humanist and a leader dedicated to the development of his council after assuming office.


Robert, stated this through the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa who led the delegation of State Government officials on a condolence visit to the family of the deceased Chairman.


According to him, "We lost a gem, an extraordinary Chairman who has dedicated his life to the development of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area and, by extension, Lagos State".


During the visit, the Commissioner further prayed for the repose of his soul and that God Almighty comfort the wife, family, friends and the people of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area.


The Permanent Secretary was accompanied on the visit by the Director of the Local Government Administration Department and was received by the APC Chairperson, Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, Alhaja Iyabo Aminat Akerele and top Council officials of Onigbongbo LCDA.
