 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Man in Police Net For Stabbing Brother's Wife

One Nnamdi Nnebe from Umuokpu Awka is currently in police custody for stabbing his elder brother's wife.


In what started as a minor misunderstanding, Mrs Njideka Nnebe, the survivor of the knife attack stated that the culprit who parked his keke in their compound saw kids playing inside his tricycle but mistook one of the kids as her son.


The survivor explained that after a minor exchange of words, the assailant went inside his apartment and brought a knife but because she defended with her hand, she got stabbed on her hand instead. 


Reacting to the incident at the hospital during her visit to the survivor, the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Anambra State, Mrs Ify Obinabo assured that the ministry will follow-up on the case as the state government is now in-charge to give justice to the survivor.
