 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. NECO ACREDITS MORE FOREIGN SCHOOLS FOR SALE, BECE. (PHOTO).


 The National Examinations Council (NECO) has accredited additional foreign schools to conduct its Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).


The newly-accredited institutions are located in Niger Republic and Equatorial Guinea.


According to a statement by NECO, its accreditation team carried out a thorough evaluation of the schools’ readiness before granting full accreditation status.


The Council described the development as a significant milestone, reflecting NECO’s commitment to extending quality education and assessment services beyond Nigeria’s borders.


In a related development, candidates in Diffa, Niger Republic, are participating in the ongoing NECO SSCE External examinations. The UNHCR School in Diffa has become NECO’s first-ever SSCE Centre outside Nigeria.


NECO further disclosed that its examinations are now being written in several countries, including Benin Republic, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger Republic, Equatorial Guinea, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


This expansion highlights NECO’s growing international presence and underscores its dedication to educational inclusivity and global relevance.
