 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. NIGERIA CUSTOMS SERVICE POSTPONES GALA/AWARD NIGHT IN HONOR OF THE LATE CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF 


1. The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) wishes to announce the postponement of its Gala and Award Night, initially scheduled for Friday, November 15, 2024, in Abuja. This decision is taken to allow Nigeria Customs Service identify with the mood of the Nation in mourning the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, whose legacy of service to our nation remains in our hearts.


2. The Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, conveyed deep condolences to the family of the late Lt. Gen. Lagbaja, as well as to his colleagues and the entire Nigerian Armed Forces. “Lt. Gen. Lagbaja was a leader of immense dedication and sacrifice. His contributions to Nigeria’s security and inter-agency cooperation are immeasurable,” said CGC Adeniyi. “We stand with the Nigerian Army, his family, and all Nigerians in honouring his memory and service.”


3. The Nigeria Customs Service acknowledges the weight of this moment, joining all who mourn the passing of a steadfast leader. 


4. ⁠The rescheduling of the Gala and Award Night allows us to pay our last respects to a man whose impact resonates across all security services and beyond.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
