 LASG HOSTS Y2024 WOMEN'S ASSEMBLY TO EMPOWER, CELEBRATE WOMEN Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to advancing and empowering women, describing them as the pillars of communities, contributing in numerous ways as mothers, entrepreneurs, educators and leaders.  Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this in his keynote address at the 2024 Women's Assembly for Local Government and Local Council Development Areas organised by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) at the De Blue Roof, LTV 8 complex, Agindigbi Ikeja.  The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Governor, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, described the Assembly as a critical platform for celebrating women’s contributions and tackling challenges affecting their well-being.  Nkechi Blessing fights dirty with fans who queried her over her relationship status


Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has traded words with some of her fans over her boyfriend, Xxssive


The movie star, via her Instagram page, shared new photos of herself as she revealed her plans to relocate to the sky.


Taking to her comment section, a fan questioned where her boyfriend, Xxssive, is, and Nkechi Blessing hit back, stating that if he lived anywhere close to him, then he should go to his house as he is right there. She slammed him for looking for her boyfriend on Instagram.


“If you live anywhere close to him, then go to his house; he’s right there because I don’t know why you are looking for him on Instagram as if he lives here”.


One of her fans, who believes the actress has broken up with him, trolled her as she noted how Nkechi is done with him.


Two of her fans stated that the relationship is now past tense


Replying to one, Nkechi threw a shade at her father and called her a witch.


“Na so your father tell you? Open mouth wa rubbish fly come out. Old winch


She replied to the other, “You wish love. You wish”.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
