 BADAGRY ANGELS WIN LAGOS SOFTBALL TOURNEY  Badagry Angels have been crowned champions of the Lagos U-15 Softball Championship held recently at the Badagry Grammar School playing field, Badagry. The five-day tournament, which began on November 11, 2024, ended on Friday, November 15 where eight teams participated in the competition designed to drive the growth of the sport at the grassroots level. As Champions of the tournament, Badagry Angels showcased their dexterity and skills against Rak Angels in the grand finale, maintaining their good position and dominance on the field before finally trouncing their opponents 9 runs to 1. King West, the son of the new National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW president, Musiliu Akinsaya, better known as MC Oluomo, has congratulated him on his new appointment


We reported on Saturday that MC Oluomo had emerged as the new National President of the NURTW.

Before his victory, MC Oluomo was the former chairman of NURTW, Lagos State Chapter, before he emerged as National President.


Reacting to his father’s win via his Instagram story, he noted how he is officially the son of the president of NURTW Nigeria. Congratulating his father, he appreciated the president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.


In a now-deleted post, he bragged that he and his family are now controlling the country and not only Lagos.


I am now officially the son of the president of NURTW Nigeria. Congratulations dad!! It’s official.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
