 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. King West, the son of the new National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW president, Musiliu Akinsaya, better known as MC Oluomo, has congratulated him on his new appointment


We reported on Saturday that MC Oluomo had emerged as the new National President of the NURTW.

Before his victory, MC Oluomo was the former chairman of NURTW, Lagos State Chapter, before he emerged as National President.


Reacting to his father’s win via his Instagram story, he noted how he is officially the son of the president of NURTW Nigeria. Congratulating his father, he appreciated the president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.


In a now-deleted post, he bragged that he and his family are now controlling the country and not only Lagos.


I am now officially the son of the president of NURTW Nigeria. Congratulations dad!! It’s official.
