 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  NPFL Postpones Kano Pillars, Enyimba Clash


The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has announced the postponement of Kano Pillars match day 14 home clash against Enyimba International of Aba, BSNSports.com.ng reports.


The match, initially slated for Sunday, December 1, 2024, has been postponed to an unconfirmed date due to Enyimba's engagement in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage fixtures.


In a statement issued by the league organizers, the NPFL assured fans of both clubs that a new date and time for the iconic encounter, popularly referred to as the "Zobia Clasico," will be communicated in due course.


In a related development, the Kano Pillars Matchday 13 away fixture against Lobi Stars has been brought forward to Saturday, November 23, 2024. The match will now take place at the Lafia City Stadium, a change necessitated by adjustments to the league calendar.
