 BADAGRY ANGELS WIN LAGOS SOFTBALL TOURNEY  Badagry Angels have been crowned champions of the Lagos U-15 Softball Championship held recently at the Badagry Grammar School playing field, Badagry. The five-day tournament, which began on November 11, 2024, ended on Friday, November 15 where eight teams participated in the competition designed to drive the growth of the sport at the grassroots level. As Champions of the tournament, Badagry Angels showcased their dexterity and skills against Rak Angels in the grand finale, maintaining their good position and dominance on the field before finally trouncing their opponents 9 runs to 1. ONDO ELECTIONS: DIG ELECTIONS INSPECTS POLLING UNITS, COLLATION CENTRES, AS POLLS WIND DOWN.


Charges Officers on Vigilance, Safety Protocols.


As the polls draw to a close, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Ondo State Gubernatorial Elections, DIG Sylvester Abiodun Alabi, fdc, has conducted series of rigorous inspections of polling units and collation centres aimed at ensuring the integrity and transparency of the electoral process. 


These inspections aim to guarantee that all voting materials are accounted for, and that the counting and collation of votes are conducted in a fair and orderly manner.


The DIG further charged the officers deployed for election security to ensure a constant state of vigilance, restricting any unauthorized movement of persons in and out of the collation centres. Officers are to emplace strict safety protocols to prevent any potential disruptions or irregularities that could compromise the integrity of the elections.


The Nigeria Police Force reiterates its commitment to emplacing adequate security measures to ensure the electoral process is conducted free and fair. The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM., further assures members of the public, particularly the good citizens of Ondo State, of the highest standard of security throughout the electoral process and even afterwards.
