 Kufana Youths Apprehend Suspected Transformer Vandals, Hand Over Suspects To Police The Executive Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Council, Hon. Dauda Madaki, has commended the vigilance and bravery of youths in Kufana community following the arrest of suspected transformer vandals in the early hours of Tuesday. The suspects, identified as Denis Reuben of Kurmin Ido, Haruna Ado of Kurmin Kwari, and another individual, were reportedly caught while allegedly attempting to steal transformer coils. Their arrest was carried out by a patrol team led by Mr. Samaila Akawu, alongside the community Youth Leader, Mr. Chris Lingo, and other vigilant youths. Following the arrest, the suspects were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and possible prosecution. Reacting to the development, Hon.  Onigbongbo LCDA Chairman, Dotun Olakanle Dies


The Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, Oladotun Olakanle is dead.


The Chairman reportedly died early Saturday, 2 November, 2024.

Circumstances surrounding his death are still sketchy as at press time.

His administration distributed vehicles to police formations in his council area on Friday, 1 November, 2024.

Reports also stated that he was at the burial party for the late All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Dr Adesola Taiwo, Chief Executive Officer of Adefemi Taiwo Hospitals on Thursday, 31 October, 2024.

This would be the second time sitting Council Chairman in Onigbongbo LCDA would die in office during their second term.

Olakanle’s predecessor, Babatunde Oke, also died in office deep into his second term.
