 BADAGRY ANGELS WIN LAGOS SOFTBALL TOURNEY  Badagry Angels have been crowned champions of the Lagos U-15 Softball Championship held recently at the Badagry Grammar School playing field, Badagry. The five-day tournament, which began on November 11, 2024, ended on Friday, November 15 where eight teams participated in the competition designed to drive the growth of the sport at the grassroots level. As Champions of the tournament, Badagry Angels showcased their dexterity and skills against Rak Angels in the grand finale, maintaining their good position and dominance on the field before finally trouncing their opponents 9 runs to 1. PLATEAU GOVT SIGNED A MOU WITH INTERNATIONAL NGOs; BEB AND ASSOCIATION OF ORPHANAGES AND HOME OPERATORS IN NIGERIA TO CREARE DIGITAL IDENTITIES FOR CHILDREN IN ORPHANAGES. (PHOTO).


 The Plateau State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with international NGOs; Both Ends Believing (BEB) and Association of Orphanages and Homes operators in Nigeria to create digital identities for children in orphanages. 


The MoU aims to find permanent, safe, and caring families for children in orphanages. Through the Children First Software, the MoU will help children living in institutions unite with loving families.


Governor Caleb Mutfwang, represented by the State Commissioner for Women affairs, Caroline Panglang Dafur, said the state would support the initiative and also track fake orphanages operating in the state and prosecute anyone involved in child trafficking.
