 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. POLICE PROs CONFERENCE: MILESTONE ACHIEVEMENT TOWARDS MORE EFFECTIVE POLICING, ENDS ON HIGH-NOTE WITH REGIMENTAL DINNER.

As Officers Receive Awards for Exemplary Performance.

The 2024 Conference of Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) and Communications Experts held in Asaba, Delta State, from 18th November, finally came to a close on November 21st 2024, with a regimental dinner ceremony to signify the end of the annual conference.

The Conference themed “Strengthening the Nigeria Police Force Oversight and Accountability” which aided in equipping PPROs with the required expertise for effective communication, police accountability, improved human relations and public trust, was facilitated by resource persons and experts in the Public Relations sector, NGOs, International organizations and experts in other relevant fields.

As a keen reminder of the rewards of hard work and diligence, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM, represented by the Commissioner of Police in charge of Delta State, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, psc, and the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, presented awards and commendations to several Police PROs including PPROs of FCT, Bauchi, Delta, and Abia States, as well as ASP Julius Robinson, a commander of a tactical team within the Delta State Command, in recognition of their exemplary performance in fulfilling their lawful and expected responsibilities.

The Inspector-General while noting that the Conference is a milestone achievement towards a more effective policing strategy, thanked the Executive Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. and good people of Delta State for hosting the event. The IGP also appreciated the support of various agencies, international organizations, and individuals, and further re-echoed his call on the general public to embrace the new innovations and ideas of the present Police leadership towards improved oversight, accountability, and quality service delivery for the general socio-economic development of Nigeria.
