 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. YOBE GOVT HAS REVEALED PLANS TO ESTABLISH A NEW SECONDARY SCHOOL SPECIFICALLY FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES, AIMED AT ENHANCING INCLUSIVE EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE STATE. (PHOTO).

 The Yobe State government has revealed plans to establish a new secondary school specifically for students with disabilities, aimed at enhancing inclusive education opportunities within the state.


Professor Adam Idris, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, made the announcement during a visit by the Community of Practice (CoP) team, which advocated for transparency and social accountability. The visit took place at his office in Damaturu, the state capital.


The Commissioner, represented by the Director of Schools Management, Bukar Modu Adam, noted that students with special needs have traditionally been sent to schools in Maiduguri and other states. 


He stressed the government's commitment to providing inclusive education within Yobe State and outlined plans to establish a dedicated secondary school to meet this goal.
