BENUE: TRADERS FOIL YAM THEFT AT ZAKI BIAM MARKET  Tension flared on Wednesday at the busy Zaki Biam Yam Market after a man was apprehended over an alleged attempt to steal yams, briefly disrupting activities and drawing a crowd of traders and buyers. Eyewitnesses said the suspect was caught in the act and restrained by market traders before the situation escalated. Preliminary accounts identified him as a vehicle conductor from Plateau State. The incident quickly drew public attention, prompting calls for calm. Traders urged that the matter be handed over to security agencies for proper investigation, stressing the importance of due process and warning against mob action. Security authorities are expected to take over the case, as investigations continue and further details will emerge.

17-YEAR-OLD TEXAS GIRL ARRESTED AFTER POISONING RIVAL'S COMPETITIVE SHOE GOAT, DUE TO JEALOUSY. (PHOTO).

17-year-old Texas girl arrested after poisoning rival's competitive show goat ...due to jealousy.

17-year-old Aubrey Vanlandingham is a senior at Vista Ridge High School. She was caught on security footage using a squirt gun to force pesticides down the throat of a 15-year-old girl's show goat.

The two competed against each other at livestock shows and Aubrey reportedly told police she had poisoned the goat because she "thought the other girl was cheating".

In the security footage captured on Oct. 23rd, you can see Aubrey forcing the pesticides down the 6-moth-old goat's throat with a drench squirt gun. The poor animal attempted to escape but Aubrey ultimately trapped the goat and carried out her diabolical plan. The footage then captures Aubrey returning twice in two hours to see if the goat named "Willy" had passed away. Willy sadly passed the next day while convulsing and suffering acute respiratory distress.

After an investigation revealed the shocking events, Aubrey Vanlandingham was arrested on November 22nd and charged with cruelty to livestock animals. After being charged she confessed to attempting to take the goat's life on a previous occasion that was not captured on camera.

Aubrey has been banned from her school, where she was a cheerleader, during the court proceedings and could face 2 years in prison if convicted.  She is due in court on January 15th.
