 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Association of Blind Students Anambra State Holds 2024 Get-together In Onitsha

It was a joyous day for the Anambra State Blind Students Association as they celebrated their 2024 get together tagged "Vision Beyond Sight".


The celebration, which took place at Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha was aimed at encouraging the visually impaired to be strong, steadfast and make good use of their potentials.


Speaking during the event, the Patron of the Association, Chief Godwin Okeke, emphasized the need for all to support the blind, commending  the efforts of both the past and present government of the state for their disability- friendly policies and programmes.


In their lectures, Prof. Chigozie Ifeadike, and Barr. Eloka Obi charged the visually impaired students to always have self confidence and be objective in their life.


In an interview, the co- ordinator of the National Association of the Nigerian students (NANS), South East, Comrade Charles Ijeomah, and the Anambra State Co- ordinator, Comrade Chibuzor Obierika, also charged the students to always believe in themselves and be the ones to navigate their destinies.
