 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. CP MM AUWAL APPEAL FOR CALM AS THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE GRUESOME MURDER OF SAMAILA GAINA COMMENCES IN EARNEST


Bauchi State – The Bauchi State Police Command is committed to maintaining the safety of our communities and is actively addressing recent criminal incidents. On 14 December 2024, at about 0310 hours, the command received an emergency call from Alhaji Samaila Gaina, a 75-year-old resident of Gaina Village, reporting an armed robbery and tragic shooting at his home.


At around 0250 hours, four unidentified armed assailants broke into his residence, resulting in the unfortunate loss of Alhaji Mohammed Samaila, aged 57, who was fatally injured during the incident. The assailants fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was transported to the Federal Medical Center in Misau, where he was pronounced dead.


In response to this serious incident, the Bauchi State Police Command immediately dispatched a team of homicide detectives to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation. Our dedicated investigators are focused on identifying and apprehending those responsible for this heinous act, and we are committed to ensuring justice for the victim and his family.


CP Auwal Musa Muhammad, the Commissioner of Police for the Bauchi State Command, has expressed deep condolences for the loss suffered by the family and condemned this act of violence. He reassures the public that the Command is fully invested in enhancing community safety and encourages anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward and assist with the investigation. Together, we can work towards a safer environment for all citizens.
