 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. CHILD BORN ON CHRISTMAS DAY, FATHER GETS ARRESTED FOR STATUTORY RAPE. (PHOTO).

 A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged with statutory rape after allegedly impregnating a 13-year-old girl in Seshego, Polokwane. The two met at a shopping complex in January 2024 and began communicating before becoming intimate in May 2024.



The girl only revealed the incident to her aunt after experiencing complications, and medical tests confirmed she was eight months pregnant in November 2024. She gave birth to a baby boy on Christmas Day, 25 December 2024.


The police were informed, and a statutory rape case was registered for further investigation. The suspect was arrested by the Seshego Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences Unit on 26 December 2024 and is expected to appear in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court soon.
