  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Early Morning Fire Claims Lives of Customs Officer, Wife, and Four Children in Osun


A tragic fire in the early hours of Monday in Ede, Osun State, claimed the lives of six family members, including a Customs officer, Tijani Kabiru, his wife, and their four children. The incident occurred around 2 am at their home in the Olowopoku area.


Reports indicate that the fire, believed to have originated from an electric spark in a solar panel installed on the roof, began at approximately 2:09 am. Kabiru, in his late 40s, was asleep with his wife and five children when the fire rapidly spread through the building.


One of the children, a 13-year-old, was reading when the fire started. Realizing the danger, the child rushed to his father’s room, only to find the family struggling due to smoke inhalation. The child managed to escape the house and sought help, but it was difficult for neighbors to access the house due to security measures, including electric barbed wires and strong doors.


Despite calling the Fire Service at around 3:10 am, the family was tragically unable to survive. The bodies of Tijani, his wife, and four children were retrieved and handed over to the Nigeria Police Force at A Division.


The Osun State Fire Service confirmed the incident, with spokesperson Dekunle Ibraheem expressing condolences and confirming the deaths. Only one family member managed to escape the blaze.
