 Senate confirms Fani-Kayode, Reno Omokri, 62 others as ambassadors The Senate on Thursday confirmed 64 ambassadorial nominees of President Bola Tinubu, including a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, and a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri. The confirmation followed the consideration and adoption of a report by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, which said all the nominees were screened and found suitable for appointment. The exercise came 48 hours after the upper chamber confirmed three non-career ambassadorial nominees — Lateef Kayode Are (Ogun State), Aminu Dalhatu (Jigawa State), and Emmanuel Ayodele Oke (Oyo State)—bringing the total number of confirmed ambassadors to 67. Among those cleared on Thursday were a former Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau; a former Special Adviser on New Media to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri; a former presidential aide, Ita Enang; and a former senator, Grace Bent. EDO POLICE WARNS AGAINST FALSE ALARM, FAKE NEWS, MISINFORMATION etc


The Edo State Police command is calling on the general public, especially indigenes and residents of the State to desist from raising false alarms, spreading fake, unfounded and misleading informations on social media. 


This is coming on the heels of a false and mischievous claim by one Enabulele Aibuedefe 'm' Age 34yrs with the 'X' handle @edoboy2024 alledging that the Police in Edo State "kidnapped" two boys and were demanding #2m for their release, with further warning for youths to avoid ekenwan slope area of Benin-City. This was discovered to be untrue and had caused apprehension to law abiding residents of the State. 


The officers and men of the Police would not be dettered with this sort of misinformation while discharging their constitutional responsibility of ensuring the safety of lives and property in Edo State.
