Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search.  FCTA Invests in Road Infrastructure to Develop Isolated Communities – Wike


Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), announced the FCTA's commitment to improving road infrastructure to connect and develop previously isolated communities. 


At the launch of a three-kilometre access road in Giri District, Wike emphasized that the project would attract development and benefit landowners. He also expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for supporting ongoing infrastructure efforts. This road marks the third major project launched by Wike in recent days, alongside others in Kabusa and Ketti.
