 GOVERNOR UBA APPRECIATES PRESIDENT TINUBU ON THE AWARD OF STRATEGIC CONTRACTS WORTH  ₦1.178 TRILLION IN KADUNA STATE   Kaduna State governor has extended appreciation to President Tinubu, and the Federal Executive Council for the approval and award of transformative infrastructure contracts that will indelibly reshape the economic and social landscape of the state.   The statement personally signed by the governor lists the projects as follows; the Kaduna Light Rail Project an ambitious undertaking spanning a Kilometers corridor from Rigachikun to Sabon Tasha, alongside a Kilometers line from Millennium City to Rigasa, forming a 50-kilometre metropolitan network with an estimated value of One Trillion Naira. Complementing this is the critical reconstruction of the Mando–Kaduna– Birnin Gwari road, a 122-kilometre artery valued at ₦178 billion.  Get Rid Of ‘Excess Baggage’ In Cabinet, Gov Mohammed Urges Tinubu


Bauchi State Governor and Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Bala Mohammed, has urged President Bola Tinubu to remove what he described as “excess baggage” within his administration.


According to Governor Mohammed, while governors have confidence in the President’s leadership, the actions of certain cabinet members are undermining his efforts.


He said the President must “throw away the excess baggage,” emphasizing the need for decisive action.


Governor Mohammed remarked as the special guest during the commissioning of the 14.1km Umuakali-Eberi Road in Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers State.


He noted that the focus across various states should be on governance rather than politics.


He commended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for delivering good governance despite political challenges, expressing confidence in the Governor’s ability to lead effectively.


He said by what he has seen, he is no longer worried about Governor Fubara’s performance or the perception of the people about his administration.
