 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  ‘I’ve Asked Him Twice’ – Sowunmi Opens Up on Atiku’s 2027 Presidential Ambitions


Segun Sowunmi, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar's presidential campaign, has disclosed that he has approached the former Vice President twice regarding his plans for the 2027 presidential election.


Speaking candidly, Sowunmi explained that Atiku, a veteran politician, remains undecided, taking time to reflect on his next political move.


“Atiku Abubakar is a man I deeply admire. His resolve and endurance in the face of political challenges are remarkable,” Sowunmi stated. “I asked him directly, ‘Are you running again? If yes, how do we prepare? If no, how do we restructure the PDP strategy?’ He hasn’t given me an answer yet, and I respect his thought process.”


Sowunmi emphasized the weight of the decision Atiku faces, noting his extensive political journey and the betrayals he has encountered over the years. “It’s not a light decision. Anyone in his position must deeply reflect before making such a commitment. When Atiku decides, we will align with his vision and take the necessary steps.”


Despite his silence, many political observers interpret Atiku’s body language as a signal that he is considering another run
