The meeting, held in the company of the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olugbemiga Aina, underscored Lagos' commitment to leveraging AfCFTA as a transformative tool for economic growth, job creation, and regional integration.

The Commissioner described AfCFTA as the future of trade in Lagos, emphasizing that the State’s proactive approach is aimed at positioning Lagos as a leader in Africa’s trade revolution.

Her words: “With a deliberate focus on building capacity, fostering innovation, and ensuring standardisation, Lagos is set to unlock the immense potential of AfCFTA.”

The deliberations focused on a shared vision: fostering intra-African trade by Africans and ensuring Lagos leads the charge in this ambitious continental trade agenda.
