 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  LASG ANNOUNCES TRAFFIC DIVERSION ON MARINE BRIDGE FOR EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE WORK


The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversion on Marine Bridge for repair work from Wednesday, 4th December, 2024 to Tuesday, 25th February, 2025.


During the repair works, Motorists are enjoined to use alternative routes as follows:


1.      Motorists from Apapa inward Lagos Island are advised to go through Costain Roundabout to link Eko Bridge and connect Lagos Island for their desired destinations.


Or


From Apapa, Motorists may link Ijora 7up through Marine Bridge to access the ramp to connect Ijora Causeway Access Road through Ijora Oloye to Ijora Causeway to link Eko Bridge to connect Lagos Island for their desired destinations.


2.      Motorists from Apapa inward Ijora Causeway/Iddo are advised to link Costain Roundabout to access Eko Bridge and connect Ijora Causeway to access the ramp through the U-turn to link Iddo for their desired destinations.


Or


From Apapa, Motorists can also link Ijora 7up through Marine Bridge to access the ramp to link Ijora Causeway Access Road through Ijora Oloye to connect Ijora Causeway to Iddo for their desired destinations.


For this period, Motorists on the other side from Costain Roundabout will have through traffic inbound Apapa.


ADVISORY: - Motorists are implored to be patient as the diversion is part of the traffic management plans for the rehabilitation works on the asphalt pavement of the road section by the Federal Ministry of Works (Office of the Federal Controller, Lagos).
