 LASG HOSTS Y2024 WOMEN'S ASSEMBLY TO EMPOWER, CELEBRATE WOMEN Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to advancing and empowering women, describing them as the pillars of communities, contributing in numerous ways as mothers, entrepreneurs, educators and leaders.  Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this in his keynote address at the 2024 Women's Assembly for Local Government and Local Council Development Areas organised by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) at the De Blue Roof, LTV 8 complex, Agindigbi Ikeja.  The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Governor, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, described the Assembly as a critical platform for celebrating women’s contributions and tackling challenges affecting their well-being.  NPFL: Shooting Stars declare two players missing


The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side, Shooting Stars, have declared two players Absent Without Official Leave, AWOL.


The players are Victor Ehibe and Abubakar Adeyemi.


Shooting Stars made the declaration in a statement by the club’s media officer, Tosin Omojola.


The club, however, warned clubs against having any dealing with the players, as they still have the ownership right over them, based on their existing contract.


The statement read, “We wish to inform the public of the sudden disappearance of two of our players, Victor Ehibe and Abubakar Adeyemi.


“While Abubakar Adeyemi has not shown up for training for some time, Victor Ehibe recently left the club’s camp, packing all his belongings without any official notice.”
