 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Olubadan Urges Newly Installed Chiefs to Promote Unity and Peace


The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, has called on the newly appointed chiefs in the region to use their traditional titles to promote unity, peace, and progress in Ibadanland. He made this appeal during a ceremony at the Olubadan’s palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan, on Saturday, where he conferred honorary chieftaincy titles on prominent individuals and their spouses.


According to a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Gbenga Ayoade, the new titleholders included Sulaiman Ajewole, who was named Aare and Yeye Atunluse of Ibadanland, as well as Abisoye Ayoyimika and Olusola Fagade, who received the titles of Aare and Yeye Asojuoba of Ibadanland, respectively. Oba Olakulehin acknowledged their significant contributions to the unity and development of Ibadanland.


Speaking through the Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Akeem Adewoyin, the monarch emphasized that the recipients' dedication to Ibadan's progress made them deserving of recognition. Oba Olakulehin encouraged them to use their new positions to foster further unity, peace, and development in the city, acting as accredited representatives of the Olubadan.


The event was attended by several dignitaries, including former Governor Oba Rashidi Ladoja, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola (Balogun of Ibadanland), Oba Eddy Oyewole (Osi Olubadan), Oba Olubunmi Dada (Osi Balogun), Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi (Ashipa Olubadan), and Oba Adebayo Akande (Ekarun Olubadan). The Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Arts, Hannatu Musa Musawa, also graced the occasion.
