 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Legendary singer Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba or 2Face, shared a heartwarming video of his encounter with Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

In the video posted on his Instagram page, 2Baba was seen carrying Peter Obi’s bag as they walked through the airport. At one point, the former governor took his bag back, and the two posed for pictures together.

Reflecting on their meeting, 2Baba described their brief conversation as impactful, noting that he gained significant insights. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning and praised Obi’s vision for the country. Expressing optimism, 2Baba acknowledged that while change won’t happen overnight, Nigeria is on the path to progress.
