  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Shettima Muhammad Takes Over as Nasarawa Police Commissioner  


Shettima Jauro Muhammad has assumed office as the 29th Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, succeeding AIG Shehu Umar Nadada, who was recently promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police.  


Official Announcement  

The appointment was confirmed in a statement issued on Friday by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel.  


Profile and Experience  

-  Background:

  CP Muhammad hails from Mubi North Local Government Area, Adamawa State, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education from the University of Maiduguri.  

-  Police Career:

  Joining the Nigeria Police Force in May 1992 as a Cadet ASP, Muhammad has served in numerous capacities, including:  

  - Acting Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State.  

  - Deputy Commissioner of Police at the State CID in Lafia.  

  - Deputy Commissioner of Operations in Zone 8 Lokoja and Gombe State Command.  


Call for Public Support  

In his inaugural address, CP Muhammad urged Nasarawa residents to support the police by providing actionable intelligence to aid in crime prevention and resolution.  


The new commissioner brings extensive experience and leadership to his role, promising continued efforts to enhance security in the state.
