Tanzania closes Nduta camp housing thousands of Burundi refugees Tanzania has closed a camp housing thousands of Burundian refugees and repatriated all but a handful, activists and the United Nations said. Burundian refugees have complained in recent months of being forcibly evicted from the Nduta camp in northwestern Tanzania, following a deal between the governments in Dar Es Salaam and Bujumbura to repatriate around 100,000 of them by June. As of late 2025, there were an estimated 142,000 Burundian refugees housed in two Tanzanian camps - Nduta and Nyarugusu, according to the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR). Super Eagles GK Nwabali shines with penalty save as Chippa United beat Magesi FC

Super Eagles No 1 goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali was one of the heroes of South African club Chippa United after he saved a penalty and inspired them to a 2-0 home win over giant killers Megisa.

The 26-year-old was the pillar of Chippa’s defence, making crucial saves, including a spectacular penalty stop in the second half that ensured the visitors failed to mount a comeback.

Nwabali saved a penalty in the 47th minute that would have brought the visitors back into the game.

Chippa United laid the groundwork for victory in the first half, with Sinoxolo Kwayiba striking twice at the Buffalo City Stadium in East London. Despite Magesi FC’s attempts to fight back, Nwabali was impenetrable, keeping his clean sheet intact.

He has now recorded five clean sheets in the PSL this season.

The giant shot stopper dedicated this clean sheet to his departed father.

The home win catapulted Chippa United, who barely escaped relegation last season, to third place with 14 points from nine matches.
