 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Nollywood actress Bukunmi Oluwasina has penned a heartfelt note to her colleague, Mercy Aigbe


In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, Bukunmi described Mercy as a Phoenix rising from the ashes. 


She stated as Mercy’s movie Thin Line hits cinemas nationwide, she wants her to know how proud she is of the energy she puts into her work despite her recent challenges and the devastating loss.


 Bukunmi noted how she has shown incredible strength and resilience.


Bukunmi stated that her journey is a testament to the human spirit’s capacity to persevere, rise above adversity, and create something beautiful from the ashes. 


She added that her new movie isn’t just a movie but a reflection of her courage, passion, and unwavering dedication to her craft.


The mother of one reminded Mercy that she isn’t alone and is surrounded by people who love, support, and are inspired by her strength.
