 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. AN 80-YEAR-OLD WOMAN LOST HER LIFE AFTER BECOMING FULLY ENGULFED BY FLAMES WHILE ON HER MOBILITY SCOOTER. (PHOTO).

 An 80-year-old woman loses her life after becoming fully engulfed by flames while on her mobility scooter.


Marjorie Hible of Ely, Minnesota, tragically lost her life in a heartbreaking accident on January 6th. The initial call came into first responders at 4:38 p.m. from the Boundary Waters Care Center. 


The 911 call indicated a victim  had been outside on her mobility scooter when staff members saw her engulfed in flames. According to reports, Marjorie Hible was fully engulfed in flames before staff were able to reach her. They were able to get Marjorie off of the scooter and extinguish the flames, causing one staff member to suffer non-life threatening burns.


Marjorie Hible was rushed to a nearby hospital where she passed away as a result of her injuries. 


The fire is under investigation but preliminary findings indicate the fire was the result of smoking a cigarette.  Presumably open flame may have come into contact with oxygen, however that is purely speculation until an official report is released.
