  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Anambra Assembly Speaker Udeze Felicitates With Chief Anyaoku On His 92nd Birthday

The Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze has described former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku as a revered diplomat whose service at the Commonwealth fetched Nigeria high regard and recognition among other African countries.


Felicitating Chief Anyaoku on his 92nd birthday, Udeze noted that Chief Anyaoku discharged his duties at the Commonwealth of Nations creditably and was recognized by various organs of the International Community.


The Speaker extolled the advisory roles being played by Chief Anyaoku in Nigeria and Anambra State in particular where he has continued to use his wealth of experience to advance good governance.


He noted that Chief Anyaoku's contributions to the growth and development of the Church of God and his community, Obosi are legendary, adding that even his foreign assignments and engagements could not prevent him from participating in the local Obosi customs and traditions, hence his recognition by the entire Idemili people as "Ugwumba Idemili".


Right Honourable Udeze while praying God to continue to strengthen Chief Anyaoku and give him longevity, enjoined the citizenry to emulate Chief Anyaoku's outstanding personality by striving to make a good name in their various endeavours.
