 Trump announces Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawal agreement under Gaza ceasefire plan   President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Hamas has agreed to a plan to disarm and that Israel will withdraw its forces from Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework. Trump described the agreement as a major step toward creating a new Palestinian government in Gaza that would work with the newly established Board of Peace to oversee the next stages of the plan. The president said the agreement would also provide Israel with increased security by preventing Gaza from being used as a launching point for future attacks. Details of the agreement were limited, and neither Israel nor Hamas immediately released statements responding to Trump’s announcement. The Board of Peace said Hamas had agreed to a roadmap for moving forward with the next phases of the ceasefire after months of negotiations. ARREST OF SELF-KIDNAPPER AND ACCOMPLICE

RECOVERY OF TWO MILLION NAIRA (#2,000,000) RANSOM


The command on 2/1/2025 received a complaint from One mrs Oliko Joy that her daughter Princess Okolie left the house on 30th December 2024 and did not return. The next day, the parents received a call that the daughter had been kidnapped and they demanded a ransom of two million naira. The Commissioner of Police CP Olufemi Abaniwonda immediately directed the command’s special Anti-kidnapping and cyber-crime squad to ensure that the victim is rescued unhurt and the suspect arrested. 


The commander special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber-Crime Squad CSP Labe Joseph detailed operatives who embarked on an intelligence-led investigation. The other suspect, Prince Atigbi, was arrested after collecting a ransom of two million naira (#2,000,000). Upon the arrest of the suspect, he stated that he was not an actual kidnapper but was playing the script of his girlfriend Princess Okolie. The girl was arrested, and she said that she faked her kidnap so that they could get money from her parent. Both suspects are in custody, the ransom money recovered and the investigation is ongoing.


The Commissioner of Police urges parents and guardians to take the upbringing of their children seriously and in the ways of God so that when they grow up, they won’t be a problem to their parents and society.
