 No good deed goes unpunished.  A Florida sea tow captain saved a man from a burning ship only to be shoved overboard and have his boat stolen. This shocking incident occurred near Marco Island on March 6th. On that date, a call went out regarding a burning boat. The captain of a sea tow boat heard the distress call and rushed to provide aid. He was able to quickly locate the burning boat and  discovered 40-year-old, Ryan Deiter, and his dog onboard the burning ship. Wasting no time, the captain of the sea tow boat was able to maneuver alongside the distressed boat and begin efforts to extricate Deiter and his dog from the doomed vessel.  Eventually, the sea tow captain was able to pull both Deiter and his dog onboard the tow boat. However, once Deiter was pulled to safety, he repaid a stranger's kindness with treachery.  Deiter shoved the captain from his own boat and fled the scene in the stolen boat, leaving the man who had just risked his own vessel and life...

BLOGGER ARRESTED BY DSS FOR CREATING FAKE DSS WEBSITE, ADVERTISING BOGUS RECRUITMENT. (PHOTO).


 
Department of State Services has arrested a 32-year-old blogger, identified as Augustus, for cloning its official website and posting a fake recruitment notice.


The suspect, from Akwa Ibom State, was apprehended on Thursday at his residence on Akpan Eno Lane in Abak.


According to DSS sources, Augustus, a graduate of the University of Uyo and a content creator, cloned the agency’s website to deceive unsuspecting Nigerians into believing the DSS was conducting a recruitment exercise.


“Augustus, a native of Abak L

ocal Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, was tracked and arrested by our operatives on Thursday at his residence.


“He claimed to be a graduate of the University of Uyo, a blogger, and a content creator. Augustus had cloned the DSS website, where he created a fake online recruitment notice, seemingly with the intent to defraud unsuspecting members of the public,” the source stated.


An anonymous source commented, “One Augustus was arrested on Thursday at his residence. His actions were aimed at defrauding the public.”


The fake notice was flagged as false by the DSS, which quickly issued a warning to Nigerians not to fall victim to such fraudulent activities.


Augustus is expected to be arraigned in court soon to face charges related to his alleged activities.
