 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. BOY CHARGED AFTER ALLEGEDLY BRANDISHING TOMAHAWK AT MANDURAH FORUM. (PHOTO).


 Boy charged after allegedly brandishing tomahawk at Mandurah Forum.


A 15-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly chasing another juvenile through the Mandurah Forum while armed with a tomahawk.


The accused was allegedly involved in an altercation with a group of youths around 3.30pm on December 26.


He then allegedly armed himself with the axe and chased one of the teenagers.


The boy then left the area and was later arrested by police on December 27.


He has since been charged with being armed in a way that may cause fear.


The accused is due to appear in the Perth Children's Court on January 10.


"Proactive patrols of major shopping centres in the Mandurah district continue to be conducted by local police, including the utilisation of new scanning legislation for edged weapons," a WA Police spokesperson said.


"To date more than 100 scans have been conducted in the Mandurah area throughout designated zones."
