 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  FG Prepared to Receive Deported Nigerians from US – NiDCOM


The Federal Government is prepared to receive Nigerians deported from the United States, according to the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).


NiDCOM’s Director of Media and Corporate Affairs, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, stated that an inter-agency committee, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, and the National Security Adviser’s office, has been set up to manage the situation.


However, Balogun noted that NiDCOM has not received any official information regarding Nigerians currently being processed for deportation.


This comes amid reports that 3,690 Nigerians in the US face deportation as part of Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigrants.
