FRSC, NESREA Collaborate to Combat Vehicular Emissions and Promote Sustainability

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) have partnered to implement the “National Vehicular Emission Control Programme” effectively.

This collaboration aims to tackle air pollution caused by vehicular emissions, a major threat to public health and the environment. By combining their expertise and resources, both agencies will drive the successful execution of the programme. A key aspect of this initiative is the integration of environmental emission standards into the “FRSC driver training curriculum”, ensuring drivers are well-informed about national emission regulations.

Additionally, the partnership will focus on “public awareness campaigns” highlighting the dangers of using poorly maintained vehicles and their environmental and health consequences. To enhance enforcement, both agencies will share **intelligence and data** on vehicular emissions across Nigeria.

The FRSC and NESREA reaffirm their commitment to fostering a sustainable environment and safeguarding public health. This joint effort underscores their dedication to addressing air pollution and securing a healthier, more sustainable future for Nigeria.
