  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  SANWO-OLU REAPPOINTS SHITTU AS EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF LASUBEB


In a demonstration of his continued commitment to excellence in education, Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu has reappointed Dr. Hakeem Babatunde Shittu as the Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB)  to sustain the ongoing reforms in Lagos State’s Basic Education Sector.


Dr. Shittu, a visionary leader, has been instrumental in driving transformative policies and initiatives that have elevated the standard of Basic Education across Lagos State. 


Under his stewardship, LASUBEB has achieved significant milestones, including improved infrastructure, teachers' training, and innovative learning programmes designed to enhance the teaching and learning outcomes of every child in the State-owned primary schools.


Speaking on his reappointment, Dr. Shittu expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue to serve the state. He reaffirmed his commitment to prioritising initiatives that align with the State Government’s objectives of providing accessible and quality education for all.


“I am deeply honoured by this reappointment and remain dedicated to advancing Governor Sanwo-Olu’s vision of a robust and inclusive education system in Lagos State.
