 US sanctions Sudan's RSF leader Dagalo The United States determined on Tuesday that members of Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and allied militias committed "genocide" in Sudan and it imposed sanctions on the group's leader over a conflict that has killed thousands of people and driven millions from their homes. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement the RSF and aligned militias had continued direct attacks against civilians, Reuters reported. The militias have also targeted fleeing civilians and murdered innocent people escaping conflict, Blinken said. "The United States is committed to holding accountable those responsible for these atrocities," Blinken said. Washington announced sanctions on the leader of the RSF, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, barring him from travelling to the United States and freezing any US assets he might hold. ILLINOIS MAN FOUNDS PRESENT FOR HIMSELF DATING BACK FROM THE 70'S INSIDE OF THE WALLS OF HIS FAMILY HOME.(PHOTO).

 Illinois man finds present for himself dating back from the 70's inside of the walls of his family home.


Tim King of Lombard, Illinois was recently doing some renovations in the home belonging to his family for 3 generations.  As he was getting ready to put new drywall up in a small bathroom in his parents' home, he decided to look in the walls. 


That's when Tim was completely shocked to find an old Christmas present wrapped in vintage Disney paper! After closer inspection, Tim discovered he was holding one of his own presents from a Christmas many decades ago. The general consensus is that the present was from around 1978 and had fallen between the walls and was lost.


After finding the present, Tim notified his Mom about the present and waited on her before opening the present.


Upon opening the long lost present, Tim found himself to be the proud owner of a set of Matchbox Thunder Jets. He said they would have been an awesome gift for his 6-year-old self. 


We believe an unexpected trip down a nostalgic Christmas memory lane is a pretty awesome present for his adult self. ♥️

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
