 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  President Tinubu arrives Enugu, commissions multiple projects


President Bola Tinubu on Saturday visited Enugu State where he commissioned multiple projects.

This is his first official trip to the state since assuming office on May 29, 2023.

He was accompanied by top dignitaries, including the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu and the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi.

He arrived at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, in the afternoon from where he proceeded to various locations within the State capital.

In the Coal City State, Tinubu inaugurated some projects embarked upon by the Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah-led administration.

Tinubu inaugurated smart green schools, rural roads, and 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras, equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of the 260 under construction across the 260 wards in the state.

Others are the completed multi-auditorium and multi-functional Enugu International Conference Centre, 90 completed urban roads in Enugu City, a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre as well as 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras.
