 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  President Tinubu arrives Enugu, commissions multiple projects


President Bola Tinubu on Saturday visited Enugu State where he commissioned multiple projects.

This is his first official trip to the state since assuming office on May 29, 2023.

He was accompanied by top dignitaries, including the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu and the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi.

He arrived at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, in the afternoon from where he proceeded to various locations within the State capital.

In the Coal City State, Tinubu inaugurated some projects embarked upon by the Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah-led administration.

Tinubu inaugurated smart green schools, rural roads, and 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras, equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of the 260 under construction across the 260 wards in the state.

Others are the completed multi-auditorium and multi-functional Enugu International Conference Centre, 90 completed urban roads in Enugu City, a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre as well as 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras.
