 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. S. A: 51 PUTCO BUSES WERE SET ON FIRE BY ARMED SUSPECRS DRIVING IN A WHITE TOYOTA QUANTUM. (PHOTOS).


 Police heightened visibility after 51 Putco buses were torched


Nelspruit:28 January 2025-The police in Mpumalanga have heightened visibility following an incident where by 51 total number of Putco buses were torched in Nkangala District last night,Monday,27 January 2025 by a group of armed suspects driving in a white Toyota Quantum.


16 buses were burnt at Moloto (KwaMhlanga area),whilst 35 buses were brought to ashes at Siyabuswa (18 Maphotla and 17 Thabana)


According to report, approximately 15 suspects wearing balaclavas and black clothes stormed into a bus depot at Moloto  and held the employees at gunpoint.The suspect are said to have shot as well as injured the security guard.It was during this period when 16 buses were burnt.The injured security officer was taken to hospital where he's receiving medical treatment.


Meanwhile at Maphotla, (Siyabuswa area) about 10 suspects attacked and assaulted a security guard,then torched 18 buses.The security guard was also taken to hospital for medical treatment.


At Thabana in Siyabuswa,about 10 suspects went to the bus depot then reportedly torchy 17 buses.


The Police,Firefighters as well as Emergency Medical Personnel were informed about the incident and upon arrival, cases were opened in relation to this horrific incidents.Police are investigating various charges, including malicious damage to properties, attempted murder, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.


No one has been arrested so far,and the motive therefore form part of the investigation. The police urge anyone with information that may assist in apprehension of the suspects to call Crime Stop number at 08600 10 111 or via My SAPS App.


The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga Major General Dr Zeph Mkhwanazi has strongly condemned the incident and immediately assembled a team of investigators to probe with the hope to arrest perpetrators of the heinous crime.


"From what we gathered so far is that this incident appears to have been well orchestrated,we are confident on the team that we put together that the arrests will be made soon." he said.
