 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Suleja Fire: Southern Governors’ Forum Condoles Niger Gov


Ogun State Governor and Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has described the tanker fire explosion in Suleja, Niger State, which claimed 77 lives and injured 25 others, as a devastating tragedy.


In a statement, Abiodun expressed condolences to Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, his cabinet, and the people of Niger State, urging them to remain resilient despite the tragic loss. He prayed for the victims’ souls to rest in peace and for the speedy recovery of the injured.


Abiodun emphasized the need for stricter traffic rule enforcement to prevent similar avoidable tragedies and warned against scooping fuel from fallen tankers. He also called on federal and state agencies to intensify efforts in managing the aftermath and urged the Federal Government to support Niger State during this challenging time.
