 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. THE FG HAS PROHIBITED MILITARY PERSONNEL FROM ENGAGING IN ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR SUBORDINATES OR THE SPOUSES OF THEIR SUBORDINATES. (PHOTO).

 The Federal Government has prohibited military personnel from engaging in romantic relationships with their subordinates or the spouses of their subordinates.  


Additionally, Nigerian military members are strictly forbidden from participating in homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, cross-dressing, and other activities deemed incompatible with the values of the armed forces.  


They are also barred from body piercing, tattooing, disorderly behavior, intoxication on or off duty, and any actions that could bring public disgrace.  


These rules are outlined in Section 26 of the updated “Harmonised Armed Forces Terms and Conditions of Service”, signed by President Bola Tinubu on December 16, 2024.  


According to the section:  

- Officers must not engage in activities related to the LGBTQIA2S+ community or cross-dressing.  

- Body piercings, tattoos, drunkenness, and public brawls are prohibited.  

- Relationships with subordinates, or with the spouses of fellow officers or subordinates, are strictly forbidden.  


Furthermore, military personnel are required to promptly fulfill financial obligations, such as vehicle licensing and insurance. Membership in secret societies or political parties is also prohibited.
