 ANAMBRA POLICE ACTION ON THE CULT CLASH THAT RESULTED IN THE FATAL INJURY OF FOUR PERSONS AT AFOR NAWFIA MARKET The Anambra State Police Command wishes to provide a comprehensive update on the cult-related attack that occurred on the evening of 7th December 2025 at Afor Nawfia Market, along the Onitsha–Awka Old Road. It will be recalled that operatives of the Command attached to the Special Anti-Cult Squad, Enugwu-Ukwu, had, four days earlier, acting on credible intelligence about a planned rival cult confrontation, arrested two dangerous suspects and recovered a firearm from them. The arrested suspects have been assisting the Police with valuable information aimed at preventing further cult-related violence within Awka and its environs. UPDATE: THREE SUSPECTS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE PORTIA ROWLAND MURDER. (PHOTO).


  Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the Portia Rowland murder. Portia lost her life on Tuesday when an individual shot her three times while she was warming her car up for work in Collinsville, Illinois. 


The three suspects' names will not be released by the police to the public until the three suspects are formally charged. 


 Armored vehicles were filmed and photographed going to a Caseyville home today. 


I've also learned more information that I cannot share until I am allowed. The very instant I am told I can share it I will share it with all of you. I'm just so happy for Portia's loved ones. Our thoughts continue to be with her girlfriend Sarah and all of her loved ones.


Early reports are showing that it's the shooter, driver and the man who hired them that are under arrest.

Portia Rowland, the woman that was gunned down in Collinsville, Illinois this Tuesday ...would be 33 years old today. She was killed in a callous and targeted act just 3 days before her 33rd birthday. 


Authorities insist the killing in Collinsville, Illinois of 32-year-old Portia Rowland was targeted, however, no suspects have been taken into custody and questions are swirling regarding the nature of the crime.


Portia Rowland was known by everyone as a "friendly, bright, and beautiful woman inside and out". There have been hundreds of condolences posted for Portia since her untimely death. She had no known enemies. The community is shocked at the loss and they cannot imagine who would want to end Portia's precious life.  


Portia was sadly struck down by gunfire outside of her home in the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 21st. Portia was getting ready for work early. She was in the process of warming up her car on that 3° bitterly cold morning. Portia was fatally shot 3 times on the 1300 block of Olive street.  


Neighbors heard the gunshots pierce and ring out on that silent, and cold morning. The neighbors called the police. When police arrived on the scene shortly after 6 a.m. they found Portia deceased near her garage. It was a tragic and shocking discovery. 


A full scale investigation ensued and police soon uncovered images of the suspect from nearby security cameras. We will be sharing an image of the suspect below. 


Over 30 special investigators are now on the case. 


This type of crime is highly unusual in the area where the attack occurred, leading police to  believe there may be much more to this story. 


Major Mark Kuechle, has gone on record stating, "We believe that this was not a random act of violence." 


There is a reward for any information leading to an arrest in this heartbreaking crime.
