 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. A MISSISSIPPI MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED AFTER A YOUNG WOMAN WAS FOUND FATALLY BEATEN IN A MOTEL ROOM. (PHOTO).

A Mississippi man has been arrested after a young woman was found fatally beaten in a motel room. 


Police were called to the CYO Townhouse in North Jackson, Mississippi at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan 4th. Once on scene, officials discovered the deceased and horribly beaten body of 21-year-old, Jessenia Cruz. 


According to Jackson PD Chief Joseph Wade, Cruz had lost her life, "in the most brutal way.' He shared, "She received some very, very large traumatic injuries and trauma to her body." He continued, "She lost her life last night at the hands of someone who literally beat her to death."


Police would eventually identify a suspect and the search would begin. Finally, an arrest was made at approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday when authorities took 24-year-old Joshua Boothe into custody.  


Joshua Boothe was charged with murder and had his bond set at 2 million dollars.


Our thoughts are with Jessenia and everyone that loved her. This is a tragic way to lose someone.
