 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. A UTAH MAN LOST HIS LIFE TRYING TO PROVE HE COULD "DODGE A BULLET" AFTER SMOKING WEED WITH A FRIEND. THE FRIEND IS BEING CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER. (PHOTO).

 A Utah man lost his life trying to prove he could "dodge a bullet" after smoking weed with a friend. The friend is being charged with manslaughter. 


Police in Unfield, Utah responded to the report of a man shot in the chest on Saturday, Feb 5th. When police arrived on scene they discovered an unresponsive man on the floor and 23-year-old, Ashton Mann.


The unidentified victim was rushed to the hospital where he sadly succumbed to his injuries.


As detectives interviewed Mann the story began to emerge. Mann told detectives "he and his friend had smoked marijuana around 8 p.m. and began talking about guns." (This is only being brought up because it is from the man who has been placed under arrest.) 


They moved the conversation to the garage where they began messing around with 2 different handguns. It was at this point that the victim told Mann that he could dodge a bullet.


The 2 decided to see if he could jump out of the way before Mann could pull the trigger.  Mann said they unloaded the guns and began to test the theory.  He said they tried to see if he could jump out of the way approximately 6 times before the accident. He went on to tell detectives that the last time they had tried their experiment the gun had gone off. The round had struck the victim in the chest. 


Mann said the victim asked him to call 911 before collapsing and he rendered aid until first responders arrived.


Ashton Mann was arrested and charged with manslaughter and a 3rd degree felony firearms charge.
