 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. BENUE ASSEMBLY RECOMMENDS THE REMOVAL OF CHIEF JUDGE OF BENUE STATE FROM OFFICE OVER GROSS VIOLATION OF THE ETHICAL CODE OF CONDUCT 


The Benue State House of  Assembly has recommended the immediate removal of the Chief judge of Benue State, Justice Maurice Ikpambese from office over gross violation of the ethical code of conduct and despicable acts incompatible with the status of the judicial officer of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.


The House also recommends for immediate swearing in of the next -in- line judicial officer within the State as Acting Chief Judge of Benue State.


The House took the decision Tuesday, February 18th, during a plenary presided by the Speaker, Chief. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh.


According to the correspondence sent to the house and read by the Majority Leader Comr. Saater Tiseer, Justice Ikpambese committed the following offences.


1. Abuse of office by issuing a directive to overturn the Benue State Electoral Law passed by the Benue State House of Assembly and assented to by the Governor of the State.


2. Misappropriation and mismanagement of the Budgetary Allocation and Finances of the Benue State Judiciary.


3. Engagement with politicians and political office holders for favourable judicial outcomes.


4. Indirect participation and incitement of the industrial actions against the State executive.


5. Acts of bribery and corruption and undue favoritism and dire insistence on cronies holding unmerited positions.


The House was divided in to two and Twenty Three Members  voted for the removal of the Chief Judge.
