  Chikun/Kajuru Rep, Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, Announces New Appointments To Strengthen Inclusive Governance The Honourable Member representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu, has announced a wide-ranging list of new appointments aimed at deepening inclusive governance and enhancing representation across the constituency. The appointments, which take immediate effect, were unveiled in alignment with Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani’s commitment to participatory governance. According to the lawmaker’s office, the list reflects deliberate efforts to ensure fair representation of all wards, communities, and interest groups across Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas (LGAs). A statement issued by the Media and Publicity Directorate noted that the move also fulfills the Honourable Member’s campaign pledge to integrate every segment of the constituency into the decision-making and governance structure.  CMO St.Patrick's Cathedral Parish Awka Unveils By- Law

As part of its efforts to take the Catholic Men Organization (CMO), St.Patrick's Cathedral Parish Awka to the next level,the Obinna Anakwuba led executive of the organization has officially presented its by- Law.


The by- law is to provide a spiritual guide to its members to enhance their socio- economic well being and their relevance in the society.


Mr.Anakwuba the chairman of the association, spoke of the efficacy of the working document as a tool for the spiritual cohesion of its members after its unveiling by  Dr.Sam Eze a member of the group at the St.Patrick's Cathedral Parish,  Awka.


Mr.Anakwuba expects every member of the association to arm himself with a copy of the by- law to flow with its agenda.


The chairman further announced that the Awka Catholic Diocese ably led by Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor has approved 27th day of April 2025 as the date for the flag off of the diocesan fathering Sunday to be held at St.Andrew's Catholic Church Adazi Nnukwu .


According to him,every parish in the diocese is expected to nominate 2 delegates philanthropists to support the diocese during the event.


To further buttress the chairman's announcement, a member of St.Albert's Zone in the parish ,and the chairman 2025 fathering Sunday Committee, Brother James Uzor announced that the committee has mapped out two weeks for the fathering Sunday to cover some sporting activities, cultural fiesta and some spiritual activities.


According to him,provision was made to accommodate bible quiz competition, football matches,and other extra curricular activities.


On election matters,Mr.Anakwuba announced that the diocese has approved that on or before the 26th day of July 2025,general elections will be held to elect new CMO executives in all its tiers of authority.


During the meeting,a member of St.Albert's Zone in the parish Brother Charles Anagor announced that the first indigenous Awka Catholic Priest, Father Lawrence Eke has invited the CMO St.Patrick's Parish Awka to be part of his historic 50th priestly ordination anniversary soon to be celebrated.
