 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Court Dissolves 13-Year Marriage Over Domestic Abuse and Disrespect


A Lugbe Grade 1 Area Court in Abuja has dissolved the 13-year marriage between Gaminana Aminat and her husband, Musa Abdulrahab, citing allegations of disrespect and physical abuse.


Presiding judge Aliyu Kagarko granted Aminat’s request for divorce under Islamic law and directed her to observe the mandatory three-month “Iddah” period before remarrying.


Aminat told the court that her husband had been mistreating her and showing disregard for her and her parents. She alleged that Abdulrahab frequently resorted to violence over minor disagreements and insulted her family when they tried to intervene.


Despite efforts from relatives to mediate, Abdulrahab reportedly refused to change his behavior. Aminat stated that she could no longer endure the abuse, neglect, and lack of respect, prompting her decision to seek divorce.


The respondent, Abdulrahab, did not oppose the dissolution of the marriage.
